I feel so v-e-r-y blessed and grateful that my sister and joined to be a part of Pace Morby’s SubTo and ecosystem.
Pace Morby and his wife Laura as a unit are BUILDERs, a LEADERs, and an EDUCATORs in CREATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND REAL ESTATE.
What I RESPECT is THEIR LEADERSHIP as a unit:
Pace is the face of the brand and brings a true leader’s strategy, and his wife Laura is a visible pillar in the ecosystem who brings a calm steady presence, stabilizing force that adds grounding, humanity, and real leadership to the culture.
The missing step before goals: KNOW THYSELF
This morning during our Jam Session (where we hang out virtually with Pace as his gift of bonus Zoom calls to our community), something landed with me in a deep way:
o Most people do not fail because they are lazy.
o They fail because they are misaligned.
They set goals that look impressive, but do not match WHO THEY ARE.
Then they hit friction.
Then they call it “lack of motivation.”
No. It is lack of clarity.
If you are going to build anything real in 2026, you need a clean foundation:
Mindset. Skillset. Toolset.
And the TOOLSET part matters more than most people admit.
Toolset spotlight: CliftonStrengths (identity clarity, faster)
One of the strongest tools to “KNOW THYSELF” is the CliftonStrengths test.
Why?
Because it shines a light on:
What you are naturally great at
What you are not wired for (and should stop forcing)
What your focus should be if you want results WITHOUT SELF-BETRAYAL
When you understand your strengths, you stop trying to win someone else’s game.
YOU BUILD YOUR OWN LANE, ON PURPOSE.
Now we set goals the right way: S.M.A.R.T
After clarity comes structure.
Here is the S.M.A.R.T goal framework I am using, starting now:
S - Specific
One target. One sentence. No fog.
M - Measurable
If you cannot measure it, you cannot manage it.
Put numbers on it. ***The math is the path***, as Pace emphasized today.
A - Achievable
Not small. Not safe. Just HONEST for this season.
R - Relevant
Aligned with STRENGTHS, VALUES, and CALLING. (Not ego.)
T - Time-bound
A deadline plus weekly checkpoints. MOMENTUM NEEDS A CALENDAR.
And here’s the part I am taking seriously:
A goal without math becomes a wish.
My simple challenge for you, the amazing person reading this, and I:
If you want to run with me, do this today:
Know Thyself: Take the CliftonStrengths test (or commit to taking it this week and deliver).
Write one S.M.A.R.T goal: one sentence, clean, aligned, measurable, time-bound.
Choose one action: one concrete step you will complete before day’s end.
Not 10 steps.
Not a perfect plan.
One action. Done.
Closing Thought
If you are in my orbit, HEAR ME CLEARLY:
You do not need a new personality; always strive to be and do better, but start right here.
You need truth, structure, and consistency.
Then you let the compounding do what it always does.
Reply and tell me:
Your Top Strength from your CliftonStrengths Test (or your best guess)
Your one-sentence 2026 S.M.A.R.T goal
Let’s build it CLEAN. Let’s build it REAL.
